Whew, what a year!
The Good:
In 2012, we were able to welcome the 85mm 1.2 and 50mm 1.2 into our family of lenses. We made a much needed upgrade to the Mark 5D II. We witnessed 14 great couples commit their lives to one another. Repeat clients returned (which is always the best!), and many new people gave us a try too. On a personal note, Daniel continued in his degree in photography, I started working full time, and we celebrated our six year anniversary (where does the time go??).
The Not so Good:
This year, business came in a way in which we were unprepared. No was never an option, and we did not limit our workload. I couldn't believe how many people wanted
us to capture their memories, and who was I to say no? There was a period of time this year I had taken so much on, I felt I wasn't doing anything fully. I left the year feeling very drained with no one to blame but myself.
The Goals:
We have set short and long term goals for 2013 to ensure the satisfaction of our clients, fans, and ourselves. We are reevaluating, reorganizing, and restructuring aspects of our business to make us better people and business owners. This "off season" will be used to upgrade our slideshows, contracts, pdfs, and most importantly, to rediscover why we began this journey in photography together years ago.
So to you:
Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! For checking our Facebook page and giving us a like. For your continual encouragement and support. For you, clients, that allowed us the opportunity to enter your lives, if only for a short period of time, and capture your hearts. For trusting us. For telling others about our work. For simply following our journey this past year.
We are grateful.
In no particular order, here are are some of our favorite client and personal images. It was extremely hard to narrow down if you can't tell!
Here is last year's post of favorites (can you see our growth??) http://tireswingphotography.blogspot.com/2012/01/best-of-2011.html
This was done for a class assignment.
Told you it was long!
